The Inaugural Royal vs Joes Tennis competition organised by the Old Joes of NSW took place at the Parramatta Tennis Centre in Sydney on the 26th of January adding another event to the growing Sydney sports calendar. 6 players representing 3 doubles pairings per school played each other on a round robin format vying for the newly minted trophy. Royal Collge team came up eventual winners after some closely fought exhilarating games of tennis. The organisers aim to make the event a permanent fixture in the social calendar of Sydney’s Sri Lankan community.

The inaugural Royal vs. Joes Tennis competition, organized by the Old Joes of NSW, took place at the Parramatta Tennis Centre in Sydney on the 26th of January, marking an exciting addition to Sydney’s growing sports calendar. The event celebrated the historic rivalry between two prestigious Sri Lankan schools, Royal College and St. Joseph’s College. Six players, forming three doubles teams from each school, competed in a round-robin format to claim the newly minted trophy.

The games were closely contested, showcasing remarkable skill and determination, with the Royal College team emerging as the ultimate winners.
