She was indeed the Governor’s lover, and here is the true story of part of the early history of Ceylon.
The rather quaint reason for this most fascinating naming of the famous Suburb, Mount Lavinia.
Whether he did or not, and the number of times this Governor had his way with this Ceyloness Maiden
is uncertain. It depended on the fact of whether or not, the Governor’s was around, I suppose, but thanks to Keith Bennett for sending this in. MOUNT LAVINIA,
an apt name for this beautiful and sexy Suburb. Go there & reminisce
