The High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Australia Visits Brisbane

The High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Australia Ms. Yasoja Gunasekera visited Brisbane in early August.
A civic reception and a lunch was held on 2 August at the Sri Lankan restaurant, “Walkway to Ceylon” attended by a large gathering of Sri Lankans in Brisbane representing various community organisations.
Various matters of interest to Sri Lankans in Australia, ways of assisting Sri Lanka were presented to the High Commissioner. A plaque commemorating her visit and books comprising Sinhala verses were presented to her at the gathering.
