In the Under 12 categories, Revaan Amarasinghe triumphed in the Boys Singles, while Kiara Jayamanne claimed the Girls Singles title. The Under 14 competitions saw Nevan Kannangara and Akeesha Silva emerge as champions in the Boys and Girls Singles, respectively. In the Under 16 categories, Ganuka Fernando secured the Boys Singles title, with Yuhansa Peiris winning the Girls Singles. The Under 18 titles were claimed by Lithum Jayabandu in the Boys Singles and Hasali Gajaba in the Girls Singles. Among the veterans, Perumal Ganeshan, Samuel Balasingh, and Robert Eardley Baptist emerged victorious in the Over 45, Over 55, and Over 65 Men’s Singles categories, respectively. In the open categories, Rukshika Wijesooriya and Zaidh Zihar were crowned champions in the Women’s and Men’s Singles, respectively, highlighting the impressive array of talent at this prestigious tournament.

Janaka Fonseka, Managing Director of Vision Care, expressed his enthusiasm for the long-standing partnership, stating, “We are very happy to be involved with this prestigious tournament for over a decade. We believe sports are vital for the health of the nation and are strongly committed to supporting the Colombo Championships. The objective of the tournament aligns with our corporate objectives, and as such, we wanted to be part of this wonderful event. Vision Care wants to support young tennis players and bring them up to par with other Asian countries.”

For over three decades, Vision Care has been at the forefront of revolutionizing Sri Lanka’s eye care industry. Beyond its commitment to eye care, the optical services provider has also been a steadfast supporter of sports, understanding the critical importance of proper eye protection for athletes. In a tropical country like Sri Lanka, where sunlight is strong year-round, it’s essential for athletes who spend extended time outdoors to wear high-quality sunglasses to shield their eyes from harmful UV rays, which can seriously impact their vision and overall health. Vision Care offers a wide range of genuine branded sunglasses designed to help athletes perform at their best while ensuring their eyes are well-protected. Through a team of highly trained optometrists and cutting-edge equipment, the optical services provider consistently delivers scientifically driven, world-class products and services, catering to diverse budgets and lifestyles.
