Young tusker caught in trap electrocuted-By Dinasena Ratugamage

A tusker was electrocuted on Wednesday night (22) when it was caught in an electric trap laid to protect a farm at Oddusuddan, Mullaitivu.Farmers in the area saw the dead elephant on Thursday morning and informed Oddusuddan police, who called in the Wildlife Department officials.The tusker is believed to be about 15-years of age.
