He is known World-wide as Whispering Bill Anderson, one of the most unassuming Country Music Stars that America has ever produced. A song-writer, guitarist, Vocalist albeit soft, & meaningful, Bill turns 85 this year and, from the 1960’s started to prove himself as one of the best in the business, finally winning entry into EVERY Country Music Hall Of Fame, possible. He wrote songs for not only himself, but for umpteen other Country Stars who have always been grateful to him. They include a guy who is absolutely superb in every song he sings, Gene Watson, and we Country Music fanatics are lucky indeed to still be able to enjoy these ‘Legends’ first-hand.
What I like and admire Bill Anderson about, is the fact that he is still so very humble and unassuming about everything he does, and the song that I have picked for you, my friends, simply goes to prove that ‘Whispering Bill’ does a great job on a song that was also a part of our lives. Please enjoy and reminisce as well, because, as I say, COUNTRY MUSIC
