Cooling Summer Delights: DIY Healthy Popsicle Recipes – By Malsha – eLanka

Popsicle - eLanka

What could be more delightful than indulging in popsicles during scorching summer days? The answer: relishing healthy popsicles! Creating your homemade popsicles is a breeze, with four fantastic variations to choose from: blueberry popsicles, mango popsicles, melon popsicles, and peach popsicles. Whether your palate leans towards vegan, non-dairy options or yogurt-based treats, you’re bound to discover your preferred icy delight right here. These homemade popsicles are suitable for everyone, from toddlers and kids to adults.

Blueberry Lemon Popsicles:

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Orange Juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • Lemon zest
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups (225g) Blueberries

Mango Popsicles:

  • 1 cup (170g) Mango
  • 3/4 cup (170g) Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup (optional)

Melon Popsicles:

  • 1 cup (160g) Melon
  • 3/4 cup (170g) Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup (optional)

Peach Popsicles:

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Orange/peach Juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups (240g) Peaches

Instructions:

  1. Place all the ingredients for each popsicle flavor in a blender and blend until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds. Seal the molds with their lids, then insert wooden sticks into the designated slots.
  3. Freeze the popsicles for a minimum of 6 hours or until they become solid.
  4. Once frozen, carefully release the popsicles from the molds, and enjoy them immediately. Alternatively, you can store them in the provided bags from the mold set and keep them in the fridge.

What fruits can we use to create healthy homemade popsicles?

The possibilities for crafting homemade fruit popsicles are limitless. While this recipe showcases some favorite fruits, your creativity knows no bounds when it comes to experimenting with various fruits. Consider trying out these exciting options: peaches, raspberries, watermelon, melon, blackberries, strawberries, kiwis, and more. You can even blend multiple fruits together to concoct a delightful medley of flavors.
