Sri Lankan Premier performance and lifestyle brand, Carnage, has officially entered into a landmark partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), committing to strengthening athlete development and elevating Sri Lankan sporting performance on the international stage.

Under this partnership, Carnage will serve as the Official Activewear Partner to the NOC, supporting national athletes with high-performance apparel while contributing to structured pathways that nurture emerging talent and provide backing as athletes progress toward international competition.

A Partnership Focused on Performance and Future Champions

The collaboration goes beyond traditional sponsorship, supporting athletes at elite levels and during the early stages of their sporting journeys. Working closely with NOC development programs, Carnage will help identify and spotlight promising young talent, providing professional-grade resources, visibility, and confidence as they grow into future national representatives.

Recognising that many talented athletes lack access to world-class support systems during formative years, the partnership aims to build a sustainable pipeline aligned with international sporting calendars and development pathways. This initiative reflects Carnage’s belief in discipline, ambition, and high performance as core values behind both sport and brand identity.

Joel Tillekeratne, Founder of Carnage, enthused, “This partnership is about supporting Sri Lankan athletes long before they reach the podium. We want to be part of their journey from the early stages, giving them access to performance-driven apparel and the confidence that a Sri Lankan brand believes in their potential. As our athletes step onto global platforms, we want them to feel prepared, supported, and proud to represent the country.”

Immediate Next Steps and Upcoming Milestones

Following the MOU signing, the partnership will move into the design and development phase of official athlete kits. This will include technical research, collaboration with athletes and NOC representatives, performance testing, and material refinement before final production and rollout, aiming to set a new benchmark in quality, professionalism, and national pride.

Initial milestones:

  • Design finalisation and production of competition and training kits
  • Performance testing and refinement of apparel
  • Official kit unveilings ahead of major international competitions

The first phase will align with preparation for global events, beginning with the Youth Olympic Games and the Asian Games, ensuring athletes are equipped with world-class performance wear.

Carnage’s Role: A Performance Partnership

Carnage will design, develop, and supply specialised apparel for multiple disciplines, including competition kits, training wear, travel apparel, and presentation outfits, with athlete-specific customisation as required. All apparel meets international performance standards in comfort, durability, climate adaptability, and technical functionality.

The partnership positions Carnage not just as a sponsor but as an active performance partner, represented through athletes’ success on international stages.

Aligning Sri Lankan Ambition with Global Vision

Founded as a Sri Lankan performance brand with global ambitions, Carnage views investment in local talent as central to its long-term strategy. As athletes pursue global recognition, Carnage grows alongside them, symbolising national capability through performance-driven design.

Representation and Co-Branding Opportunities

Carnage gains visibility as the official activewear partner across kits, training apparel, media engagements, and digital storytelling initiatives. Co-branding opportunities include:

  • Official NOC x Carnage performance collections
  • Limited-edition national team merchandise for public release, helping the public connect with athletes
  • Joint athlete-focused campaigns
  • Special edition collections aligned with major international events

These initiatives deepen public engagement with athletes while strengthening the connection between sport, identity, and community.

Building a Long-Term Sporting Ecosystem

Rather than one-off sponsorships, the partnership establishes a continuous, structured system aligned with athlete development programs and major international sporting cycles. By investing early and consistently, Carnage and the NOC aim to help shape the next generation of champions, supporting athletes throughout their journey.
