It was a memorable night! A night when close family, close friends & fans came together to honour Desmond De Silva… Legend and unmistakably the best Sri Lankan born Singer/Entertainer.
From the moment you entered the venue, Desmond’s presence was felt by all. Attention was in every detail to ensure every guest “felt” Desmond’s presence. The decor was simply elegant! The Souvenir Book was well designed and content very interesting. Definitely a book every fan would want to have in their collection. No expense was spared in ensuring decor, food & beverage was designed to make every guest feel special.
The artistes were scintillating in their performances as they paid tribute to the Legend. It was evident that he was well loved. It was indeed a poignant moment when a solo performance by Laurensz Manricks playing ukulele and singing “I’ll see you in my dreams “ followed by all the artistes and audience singing the Beatles “Photographs” as photographs of Desmond with loved ones and fellow artistes were displayed on screen. It was an emotional and poignant closure for all present. The dance floor was always full and the night ended with everyone wanting more. It was an unforgettable night!
