Kerrigan La-Brooy – Medals For Mothers
Kerrigan La-Brooy is back with his latest release and it’s probably his most emotive one to date. The single is titled “Medals For Mothers” and there’s arguably never been a more significant rendition so far. Kerrigan recorded this song following his Mum going home to be with the Lord in March 2023. Listen to the fresh heartfelt emotion in his voice. The tears and heartache are unmistakable. Kerrigan decided to leave the vocals raw and uncontrived. You can hear a snippet of his Mum’s voice at the end when Mother & Son did a duet together on Kerrigan’s debut album. He held back from releasing this song in time for Mother’s Day, deciding to do so on his Mum’s Birthday (June 12th), as a special dedication to one of the most important influences in his life. In fact, he dedicates this song to all Mum’s out there, whether they’re still with us or have passed on.
