LCC MEDIA RELEASE – Get ready for Eurofest!
Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun is encouraging locals and visitors alike to rug up and head to Bigge Park for this year’s Eurofest, a magical celebration of East and West European food, music, dance, and winter wonder.
Taking place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July from 5pm to 10pm, Eurofest promises a weekend of old-world charm, complete with a pop-up bar, live performances, traditional crafts, and authentic European street food from more than 30 stallholders and food trucks.
“Eurofest is one of the highlights of our award-winning ‘Experience the World’ series of cultural festivals, which last year brought 1.5 million visitors to Liverpool and pumped $25 million into the local economy,” Mayor Mannoun said.
“Last year, Eurofest alone attracted more than 35,000 visitors to the Liverpool CBD, people who would not otherwise have been here spending money in our cafes, shops, and hotels.
“It generated over $1.5 million for our local economy in just one weekend.”
“With European night markets, maypole dancing, folk music, and even real snow, Eurofest transforms Bigge Park into a winter wonderland.
“It’s a fantastic family event and a brilliant way to experience the cultural diversity that makes Liverpool so special.”
Mayor Mannoun encouraged everyone to invite friends and family from across Sydney to enjoy the event and support local businesses while they’re here.
“This is more than a festival—it’s an economic driver, a cultural celebration, and a powerful way to bring our community together.”
