His Memorial Service was in Sydney and was a private one for family and close friends.

He is survived by four children;

Sean, Derek, Alec and Victoria.

He has been unwell for a number of years but before that was Director and Financial Adviser at Laurie Ebert Pty Ltd in Burwood, Sydney, which is still operating. He had been doing this work since early 1990. 

Since his days in SriLanka he has maintained his passionate interest in Cricket and sport. He had four brothers ‘ Denis, Aubrey, Ryan and Jeremy. Jeremy is the only one surviving.

The first is in Colombo around Wesley days with his parents and youngest brother Jeremy who is still alive.

The second is in Australia with his brother Aubrey and Jeremy again.

The third is on his 85th birthday just a few days before he died.
