Dr Harold GunatillakeJoin us for a delightful New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Oak Ray Heritage Hotel in Kandy. Enjoy an evening filled with joy, festivities, and unforgettable moments as we Welcome to the new year together.

Hello viewers,

Today, I’m excited to steer our conversations from health and local issues to a more festive topic: Year’s Eve celebrations. This special night is eagerly anticipated by many as a time for reflection, joy, and festivities. Whether it’s a cosy gathering at home, a lively party with friends, or a grand event in the city, New Year’s Eve offers a unique opportunity to welcome the upcoming year with hope and excitement. I’ll explore some popular ways to celebrate, share tips for making the most of the evening, and reflect on why this occasion holds such a special place in our hearts. Join me as we dive into the magic of ringing in the New Year!

Welcome to the Heritage Hotel in Kandy, a beautiful sanctuary nestled in the heart of this historic city. As I bid farewell to the old year, I reflect on the memories and experiences it brought. With the new year’s arrival, I’m optimistic and excited about what lies ahead. The hotel’s serene surroundings, with its lush gardens and stunning views, create the perfect backdrop for this moment of transition. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to celebrate new beginnings in such a charming and culturally rich setting.

I celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Oak Ray Heritage Hotel on Rajapeela Mawatha in Kandy. I immersed myself in the vibrant atmosphere alongside a community of enthusiastic tourists who danced joyfully until midnight. The Oak Ray Heritage Hotel is undoubtedly the best choice for travellers in Kandy. It offers a warm, welcoming, family-friendly environment and a range of amenities that greatly enhance the experience.

You can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the town from the top floor, showcasing the lake, the Temple of the Tooth, charming dagobas, and impressive statues of Lord Buddha, among other remarkable sights. On that New Year’s Eve, the hotel transformed into a haven of revelry, attracting guests worldwide.

Couples from Serbia, Italy, Germany, and France danced the night away, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy. An electrifying energy filled the air as the clock struck midnight, signalling the start of the new year. The sky above Kandy was illuminated by a breathtaking fireworks display that captivated everyone in attendance. Excitement and jubilation enveloped the crowd, marking a truly unforgettable moment.

The highlight of the evening was an exquisite buffet dinner featuring a diverse array of culinary delights. Guests savoured the sumptuous dishes, which added to the night’s enchantment.

Join us at the Heritage Hotel in Kandy for an extraordinary New Year’s celebration—an evening filled with magic and memories. I hope you enjoyed the night as much as I did. I wish all my viewers a happy and healthy 2025. Goodbye for now!
