Sri Lanka TV chat programs

The writer’s main rationale is to bring to the attention of the related authorities of television channels the deplorable manner they conduct in many ‘Chat’ programs  with the invited artistes. This trendy program had originated some years ago is telecast uninterrupted with the noble intention of being a catalyst in identifying and nurturing aspiring talents to gain recognition in their respective fields of art expertise.

With the stubborn pursuance of a biased and discriminatory inviting process by the producers via hardly any talent search are now identified and encouraged. In effect it is purely the recycling of existing talents at regular interval who are already raised to the pinnacle in their respective fields of art. When one channel invites it is observed that the same artistes are invited by other television channels may be for convenience. In this manner so many others are not given the opportunity.

In this obvious backdrop the writer proposes to the producer to have an open invitation process where the talented artistes vying to become celebrities would be afforded the opportunity to express their willingness to be present to express their abilities instead of recycling the renowned artistes who do not need a preface.
