“SANCTIONS SQUARED”

Never very good at arithmetic, I still understand that the term “squared” means an additional amount.
How many times will sanctions have to be squared, in certain instances, before they are possibly “cubed” ?.
Perhaps, after they have been cubed, the next step is, of course, “quadrupled”, then “quintuplicated” etc., etc
because, although “Latin” is now supposed to be a “dead language”, this is still the best way to put it.

Now, to get back to English, which was always one of my favourite “subjects” at school, and quoting well-known English phrases, which I love to do, phrases like “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”, which conveniently brings me back to “Sanctions Squared”in that, just one set of “sanctions” would generally make ANY Country in this Planet of ours, take notice and “toe the line”.

So, why has little North Korea, who has already had “Santions Squared” thrown at them, from all and sundry, take no bloody notice of any of it, and still seem determined to “thumb their noses” & “up their fingers” in the Australian way, AT all and sundry? .

I’ll tell you why. It is simply because of the fact that ALL these “Sanctions” are having very little impact on this “Rogue-Regime”, but rather, giving them even more time to build-up their Ballistic & Nuclear Weaponry to hopefully (as far as they are concerned), USE them against the Larger battle-weary Countries.

Through our “Social-Media” today, EVERYONE knows, or SHOULD know that many Asian Countries, especially, are either “for” or “against” North Korea, whatever their reason for it, but, I know of NO Country that would wish for a “Nuclear-War” to start, killing and wounding millions of innocent men, women & children, BUT, what are the “United Nations” DOING ABOUT IT? . This is “INTERNATIONAL LAW” we are talking about. Flouting of it should, by righr, have dire consequences for the “flouter”. Break the law, in any Country & the law-breaker is punished for it, depending, of course, on how serious,the law-break is.

In the Phillipine Islands, for example, “do drugs”, get caught, and the punishment is “death”. A tad “over the top”, possibly, but that is the LAW over there, folks.
I am not aware of the Phillipino word for “Sanctions”, but I am certain that they do not exist in that Country.

The “Leader” of North Korea, (whatever his name, he needs a new barber), also NEEDS to be taken into custody and made to understand that he MUST NOT start a “Nuclear-War”. Narcissus had “nothing” on this man. I would not be busting any more mirrors, if I were you, Sir. Stop staring ibto that pond, you might fall in.!!

Our Prime Minister in Australia should “Trump” & Turn bull, leaving William to “Shorten” his stick & join in the fray, and, if everything else fails, Derryn could come in to “Linch, oops. Lynch the offender. Everyone is now trying to say that the American President is impulsive, he threatens, HE does this, he does that.!. America did NOT threaten Saddam Hussain, they helped him, perhaps a little too much, as a matter of fact. Saddam CAUSED the carnage of 9/11 & paid the ultimate price for it. If North Korea STARTS another war, they WILL pay for it over & above anything they expect.My only regret is that, once again, it will be mainly the “innocents” of this little Country that will have to bear the brunt of it.

The “United Nations” must take the necessary action.

Sanctions will then not needed at all and we could aviod BIG TROUBLE., into the bargain.
