Seychelles men and women volleyball teams arrive in Sri Lanka-by Susil Premalal

The men’s and women’s volleyball teams of Seychelles arrived in Sri Lanka today (19).

This is the first time that two national volleyball teams from Seychelles, an East African country, will participate in a tour of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) says that the two traveling Seychelles teams are going to compete in this country for five matches including against the Sri Lanka Men’s and Women’s Teams during this five-day tour.

Kegalle District Combined team, Sri Lanka Navy (women), Ceylon Electricity Board (men), Sri Lanka Air Force (men and women), Sri Lanka Army (men and women) and Sri Lanka National (men and women) teams are scheduled to compete against the touring team.

According to the schedule released by SLVB, all the matches except the two Kegalle District Combined matches are scheduled to be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The two Kegalle District matches were held today at the Ruwanwella Stadium.

Match Schedule:

July 20- SL Navy vs Seychelles women and CEB vs Seychelles men at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
July 21- SL Air Force vs Seychelles men and women at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
July 22- SL Army vs Seychelles men and women at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
July 23- Sri Lanka National team vs Seychelles men and women at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
