Grateful, energised, and inspired!!!
On Friday the 10th of October, Sri Lanka and Australia Chamber of Commerce (SLACC) hosted a high-impact gathering in Sydney focused on deepening Australia–Sri Lanka trade and investment ties. With a strong turnout of senior officials, industry leaders, and ecosystem builders, the evening was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when policy, innovation, and community come together.
We were honoured to host Hon. Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Eng. Eranga Weeraratne; Advisor to the President and Chairman of ICTA, Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya; Director and Acting CEO of ICTA, Mr. Sanjaya Karunasena; Chairperson of SLASSCOM (Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies), Ms. Shehani Seneviratne; and Founder/Chairman of NCINGA, Mr. Imal Kalutotage—alongside all our delegates. Their insights elevated the conversation and reinforced our shared commitment to cross-border collaboration.
A key takeaway from the session was clear: Sri Lanka is emerging as a compelling destination for digital expansion, offering talent, infrastructure, and strategic opportunity for regional growth.
This event was proudly organised in collaboration with Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Sri Lanka High Commission in Canberra. Our sincere thanks to H.E. High Commissioner Yasoja Gunasekera and Mr Paul Zeccola, First Secretary (Political & Economic) at the Australian High Commission in Colombo, for their leadership, partnership, and unwavering support in making this event a success.
On the back of this successful event, we’re now exploring a business delegation to Sri Lanka in February/March 2026. Anyone interested in joining or learning more, feel free to get in touch.
As always, our mission at SLACC is to create meaningful platforms that connect, inspire, and catalyse action. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success.
