Sri Lanka glows in a tea pot on global stage

Sri Lanka’s renowned beverage- Tea, popularly known as CEYLON TEA was presented to a worldwide audience by Lihasha Lindsay White at the National Costume Parade of the Miss Universe pageant 2025, when she walked in a costume depicting a tea pot promoting our country’s most popular beverage.
The national costume has been hailed as the best a Sri Lankan contestant has been attired in on a global scale beauty pageant.
Her presentation won loud applause from the audience and great reviews from across the world. There was no doubt that Sri Lanka was promoted at its best.
All credit to Lihasha for having ensured Sri Lanka as a country gets well represented on a global platform that had the live coverage of the Miss Universe pageant beamed worldwide, including the 130 countries of the contestants represented.
The Beautiful Sri Lanka National costume that depicted a tea pot was created by Ramesha Oshini.
Lihasha was selected the winner from 30 candidates at the local pageant Miss Universe, Sri Lanka held in July to represent at the grand final Miss Universe 2025 held on Friday in Thailand.
