Just two months after the Muscateers in Canada joined an Impromptu SLAMAT Bash on July 21 2023 which was rocked by Hussain Jayah an Ex Sri Lankan Airlines Country Manager Oman as reported in E-lanka Newsletter of August 4 2023 https://www.elanka.com.au/muscateers-in-canada-private-gathering-by-the-malay-fraternity-on-friday-july-21-2023-in-scarborough-2/ Three Muscateers in Canada played a Pivotal role at the Talk of the Town Sold out Event of the Connections 55 Silver Jubilee Gala Dance on Friday September 22 2023.
Having lived in North York from 1999 to 2006, Yas & I patronized the then Connection 55 Dances where many enjoyed the music of the versatile D J Rohan Weerasinghe.
Since moving to Mississauga, we took a break to attend the Annual Dances till we were motivated by Drehan Garth at the Starlight Dance to attend the Connections 55 Dance.

It was certainly an amazing event which we enjoyed attended by some Ex-Muscateers who patronized the July 21 event. At this event Three Muscateeers namely Glen Ragell [formerly of Royal Oman Police – The Coordinator] Rohan Jainudeen [Muscat Inter Continental – providing an excellent Music System] & Philip Navaratne [ PDO Oman – the vibrant & powerful Master of Ceremonie] played a pivotal role. Congrats Muscateers !!!!
The Revelers were continuously dancing as DJ Chamil dished out some fabulous music right through the night.
The ever-Popular Elvis Tribute Artist Lorensz Francke had all the fascinated ladies among his midst whilst on the floor.
We had some pleasant surprise when yesteryear City of Colombo Artist Sam Nathan seated at the table of Kenneth Reeves & Christine Reeves & DJ Rohan & Dushyanthi Weerasinghe was given a spot to sing that reverberated the dance floor sans any music. He was followed by evergreen Larry Landersz who entertained the audience with his specialties and beautiful singing.
Very good food and plenty of give away prizes justified the enjoyable evening.
A great show by the President of the Connections 55 President Lesley Clare Francke-Nagthal & her devoted Committee. Congratulations Connections 55 may you grow from strength to strength in the years ahead.
