We remember Shaan Ching (Chang Sweing Ching) Former STCOBANSW/ACT Committee Member

S.Thomas College

Dear Fellow Thomians

We remember Shaan Ching (Chang Sweing Ching)
Former STCOBANSW/ACT Committee Member

March 26, 1954 – September 11, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of fellow Thomian, Shaan Ching who left us on 11 September 2023, surrounded by family. He was a steadfast member of the STCOBANSW/ACT for a long period and a committed member of the OBA committee 2013/14, making a significant contribution in many ways specially as a keen Cricketer of the Thomian cricket team. His achievements on the field are memorable, clinching an individual award every time he represented the team.

The STCOBANSW/ACT Committee wish to extend its deepest sympathies to Shaan’s beloved wife Pou, and his family, during this difficult time. We remember Shaan as a person with a generous heart, sense of inimitable humour and compassion. May his soul rest in peace.

His Tribute and Memorial service will be held on Friday 15th September 2023
9.30AM, Magnolia Room
Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium
Cnr Delhi and Plassey Roads North Ryde NSW 2113

We encourage all Thomians hoping to attend the Memorial service to wear the college tie.

Thank you
