මෙය නව සමයක උදාවකි. එය හිරු බැබළෙන සමයයි; උණුසුමෙන්; සියලු ජීවීන් ජීවයෙන් අවදි ව සූර්යයා සමඟ වැඩෙන විට, වෙන කවරදාටත් වඩා දීප්තිමත් වනු ඇත.

එමෙන්ම මෙම සිංහල දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුදු සශ්‍රීකත්වයේ සමයේ දී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ජාත්‍යන්තර පාසල් ජාලයක් ලෙස ලයිසියම් ජාත්‍යන්තර පාසල් එකමුතුව විසින් ” නාරං මල් ගොල්ලේ…සූරිය සිරි මංගල්ලේ ” ගීතය ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය ගීත කලාවට එක් කරන්නේ මෙරට බක්මහ ගීත කලාව සුපෝෂණය කිරීමේ අරමුණිනි.

මෙම අලුත් අවුරුදු විශේෂ ගීතයේ පද මාලාවේ විවිධ අන්තර් සංස්කෘතික අංග අඩංගු වන අතර එය එහි තේමාවට සමගාමීව තවත් අර්ථ එක් කර එහි කලාත්මක වැදගත්කම ද වැඩි කරයි. සිංහලයන් පමණක් නො ව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ දෙමළ සහ ආදිවාසී ප්‍රජාව ද ඇතුළත් වේ. මේ නව අවුරුදු ගීතයට අප රට මුල් බැසගත්, උඩරට, පහතරට හා සබරගමු ගී නාද රටා මෙන් ම දේශීය හා බටහිර බෙර හා ඉන්දීය කංජිරාවේ හඬත් යහමින් මුසු වී නව රසක් මවන්නට ඔවුනට හැකි වී ඇත.

මල් පිපී තුරු ඵල දරන, කෙත් සරුසාර වන වසන්තය; සිංහල දෙමළ සංස්කෘතික අනන්‍යතා හා චිරාත්කාලීන එකමුතුව ද අරුත් ගැන්වූ දුමින්ද අලහේන්ද්‍ර මහතාගේ ගීත රචනයත්, විශාරද දිලුම් නිරංජ මහතාගේ ඒ මනරම් සංගීත තනුව ද එක ව, කුරුණෑගල, පානදුර සහ නුගේගොඩ ලයිසියම් ජාත්‍යන්තර පාසල්වල පෙරදිග සංගීත අංශයේ ආචාර්යවරු හා පෙරදිග සංගීත අංශයේ සියලුම සාමාජිකයන්ගේ අපූරු සුසංයෝගයෙන් නිෂ්පාදනය වූවක් ලෙස මෙම ගීතය සැලකිය හැකිය.

And in this auspicious season of Sinhala-Tamil New Year of 2022, the prestigious Schools network in Sri Lanka, Lyceum International Schools revealed its beautiful product, as a tribute to all the New Years we passed and for many more to come.

Lyceum International Schools released the New Year song, “ නාරං මල් ගොල්ලේ.. සූරිය සිරි මංගල්ලේ” ( Narang Mal Golle… Sooriya Siri Mangalle.. ), as a gift to the whole nation, with their well wishes and blessings.
The lyrics of this New Year special song contains various intercultural elements that add more meaning and enhance the significance that goes parallel to its theme. Also, it includes not only the Sinhalese cultural aspects but also the Tamil and the indigenous “Vedda” community of Sri Lanka.
The melody has been done by Mr. Dilum Niranja, Head of Aesthetic Music of Lyceum Schools, lyrics by Mr. Duminda Alahendra. The song can be considered as a wonderful collaborative product of all the members of the Aesthetic Music Department of Lyceum International Schools, Sri Lanka.
