Crispy Double-Dipped Chicken Legs with a Flavorful Twist – By Malsha – eLanka

To make this delicious and crispy double-dipped chicken legs dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:

Ingredients:

  • 4 skinless chicken legs
  • 1 cup of bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic (or garlic powder)
  • 1 finely chopped onion (or onion powder)
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger (or ginger powder)
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of milk
  • Cooking oil for deep frying

For a flavorful twist, consider using:

  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Ginger powder
  • Oregano
  • Paprika powder

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, marinate the chicken legs with the chopped onion, ground ginger, minced garlic (or garlic powder), and a pinch of salt. Allow the chicken to marinate for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk to create an egg wash.
  3. In another bowl, combine the bread flour, corn flour, black pepper, salt, and any optional spices like garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder, oregano, and paprika powder. Mix well to create a seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat the cooking oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Take each marinated chicken leg and dip it first in the egg wash, ensuring it’s coated thoroughly.
  6. Next, coat the chicken leg generously with the seasoned flour mixture.
  7. Dip the flour-coated chicken leg back into the egg wash, ensuring it’s well coated.
  8. Once again, coat the chicken leg in the seasoned flour mixture. This double-dipping process will give your chicken a delightful crispy texture.
  9. Carefully place the double-dipped chicken leg into the hot oil. Fry it until it turns golden brown, which should take about 10-12 minutes, depending on the size of the legs.
  10. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  11. Serve your crispy double-dipped chicken legs hot, with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes.
