The Postal Department issued, assumed to be the largest and longest Stamp meassuring 205 mm, symbolizing the Historical Sri Dalada ritual or Perahera and it was presented to Presdient Ranil Wickrmasighe, at Janadipathi Mandiraya on the 20th August 2024 – the final Day of the Kandy ritual.

The stamp was offered to the the Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela by the Minister of Posts and Mass Media Dr.Mandula Gunawardene
The Deputy Post Master General ( operations ) Rajitha Ranasinghe handed over the the Diyawadana Nilame a memento to be kept at the Maligawa Museum,.
The Kandy ritual commenced on the 10th of August and conclluded on the 20th August with the water cutting ceremony and other formalities before concluding the event and the Diyawadna Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela and other Basnayake Nilames proceeding to the Janakinath Mandiraya to report to the President Ranil Wicramasighe, that the Ritual has been concluded according to traditions.
