Personal Leadership Lesson from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 to reset of the world. Newly appointed Executive President of Sri Lanka, Hon Ranil Wickremesinghe set an example to all the people who thinks you have no chance of success after facing to numerous failures within their lifetime.
He used to be the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, when I was at Grade 1 and He was the Prime Minister when my Kid was at Grade 1.
After being at Parliament for almost 43 years he lost almost all the seats during 2020 General Election in Sri Lanka but was able to secure single seat at Parliament of Sri Lanka thanks to the Nationl List Selection based on the total islanwide votes.
And that caused him to loose his long pending forever opposition leader title as well (He used to be the opposition leader whenever he is not the PM 😁)
Finally during The Great Protest (Aragalaya) #gotagohome2022 on 9th May 2022 when Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna ‘s supporters attacked innocent and peaceful protesters, Ex Prime Minister had to Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned as PM of Sri Lanka.
Then ex President (8th Exec. President) Hon. Gotabaya Rajapaksa invited both Hon. Sajith Premadasa and Hon. Anura Kumara D. to take over the PM position and none were able to respond in timely mannar. Instead, they wasted time on making conditions and having meetings/ press conference etc.
But when Hon. Gotabaya Rajapaksa asked from Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, he promptly accepted and became the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka for the 6th time 😁 while setting a new record in Sri Lankan History.
Then a MP who got only single seat in Parliament, became the PM and used his 45+ years of experience to do Manipulations and change the crisis towards his success.
Finally as entire world knows, 8th Executive President in Sri Lanka Hon. Gotabaya Rajapaksa had to resign (14th July 2022) due to protestors strom came towards his residence back in 9th of July and Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe became the Acting President and finally the 9th Excutive President in Sri Lanka. (All Sri Lankan knows how he got the votes btw 😀 coz we have nice politicians in Sri Lankan Parliament)
Conclusions
: 1. Never Give Up (he waited 45 years and succeeded at age of 73)
2. Take Quick Decisions
3. When Experience counts,
not only success, but also failures get counted too Let’s see how he will run this country with those 225 MP (check facts about them at https://manthri.lk)
