Australia Tour Of Sri Lanka 2022: Cricket Australia Says Tour Will Go Ahead Despite Government Advisory

Sri Lanka though captured the coveted Asia Cup T 20 In Dubai owing to slack performances in the previous years in T 20 encounters, as similar to in the recently concluded Asia Cup will have to qualify to join Australia, England, Afghanistan in the Super 12 team .Sri Lanka is grouped with Namibia,Netherlands and UAE in the qualifying matches which of course is not a cake walk. The Sri Lankan matches in Group 1, will be played from the 16th October to the 20th October at the Kardina Park in Geelong Melbourne. On the 16th October the first game, a day game at 3 pm against Namibia, on the 18th October against UAE at 7 pm also at the same venue and on the 20th Vs Netherlands also in a day game at 3 pm at the same venue Kardina Park in Geelong.In the other group includes West Indies who too have to qualify owing to poor performances in previous years in the T 20 format games.The other teams in this group are Ireland, Scotland and Zimbabwe.All these matches in group 2 will be played at the Belleville stadium in Hobart. Here two the best two teams will qualify to play in the Super 12 league.

On the 23rd October a blockbuster game is to be played at the MCG between arch rivals India Vs Pakistan at the Melbourne cricket ground.There will be matches in the preliminary stages daily telecast live on Channel 9 .The final is scheduled to be played on the November 13th at the MCG. All group matches are to be played in the Test playing venues in Brisbane (Gabba), SCG, Adelaide, MCG and Perth .
