“APPRECIATION OF ARTICLES” – by Des Kelly

We, at e’Lanka, now receive very many different articles, whose Authors hope that they will be included in our Newsletters which come out on line, each Wednesday and Sunday respectively.

While we do try our utmost, to ‘edit’

every single one of the ‘posts’ sent,

the odd one escapes our hurried scrutiny sometimes, and ends up being published. IF any such article causes concern, we do apologise,

but we are human, and in humanity, mistakes do occur at times.

On the other hand, there are just a few ‘special’ Contributors whose articles appear regularly on e’Lanka

preceded by an introduction by me, your Editor. I find myself thanking these friends such as Keith Bennett, Charles Schokman, Victor Melder, Chris Lawton, and a few others personally, for their valued additions to our great website, which now boasts close to thirty thousand avid readers every week.

Again, as Editor, I do apologise for any errors whatsoever, even those, considered quaint little ‘typos’ committed by us as we rush to complete a ‘post’.

I am also sorry about the fact that I cannot write at length, anymore. A busted right shoulder, many years ago, was operated on, but never recovered and now has returned to bring me acute pain if ever I try to overuse my right shoulder, either writing or even trying the various musical instruments I enjoyed playing during my younger days.

In closing, I wish to inform our readers that there is ONLY ONE e’Lanka on-line. Recently, I noticed the name ELanka on Facebook, but the simple e’Lanka (electronical’ Lanka) is who we are. If anyone wishes to become a Member, all you have to do is contact Neil  Jayasekera in Sydney Australia, and Bob’s your uncle. Joining us is completely free of charge, plus you do get your  Newsletter  free as well. However, e’Lanka does have some of it’s Staff in Sri Lanka who are paid for the work they do. As a result, any kind ‘Donations’ sent in by Members or Readers are always greatly appreciated.

A Ship cannot sail on love and fresh air (as the saying goes).

My recorded Music & Songs are also featured on e’Lanka and available at the e’Lanka Shop in Sri Lanka as well, and more importantly, food parcels are also available there, for free delivery, anywhere in the Country.
