‘FEEL GOOD’ SURVIVAL STORIES… OUR REWARD

Baby Viku
Indra Viku’s story is one of many. This 2 year old boy with a brain tumor needed to attend the main Cancer hospital which was 6 hours away. His mother was unemployed and did not have the means to bring Viku to the hospital. CDF came to the rescue to save his life with multiple trips regardless of the distance, time and cost. Living 200km away from the hospital, Viku’s mother battling poverty in addition to her own health issues was a daunting task.

Surviving cancer after gruelling treatment is a huge milestone in a child’s life. CDF takes pride in
giving life changing support to children like Viku by receiving the treatment they need on time to extend their lives and resume living a normal life again.

Little Kusal
Little Kusal was only 8 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia. unable to travel 40km regularly by more than one bus route, he was transported for more than a year for treatment. He is now free of the illness. He can go to school and play with his friends again. Timely treatment makes all the difference in the world.
