Creamy Avocado Ice Cream Recipe – By Nadeeka – eLanka

Avocado Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: lime zest or lemon zest for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Avocado Mixture:
    • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
    • Add the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  2. Blend Until Smooth:
    • Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  3. Optional: Add Zest for Flavor:
    • For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding some lime zest or lemon zest to the avocado mixture. This step is optional but can enhance the overall taste of the ice cream.
  4. Transfer to a Freezer-Safe Container:
    • Pour the blended avocado mixture into a freezer-safe container. A shallow container works best as it allows the ice cream to freeze more evenly.
  5. Freeze Until Firm:
    • Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer.
    • Allow the ice cream to freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until it reaches your desired firmness. You can also leave it overnight for best results.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Once the avocado ice cream is firm, remove it from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
    • Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and serve immediately. You can garnish with additional toppings like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or fresh fruit if desired.
  7. Storage:
    • Any leftover ice cream can be stored in the freezer for up to a few weeks. Just make sure to cover it tightly to prevent freezer burn.

This creamy and delicious homemade avocado ice cream is a refreshing treat on a hot day and is sure to impress your family and friends with its unique flavor. Enjoy!
