As part of the Multicultural Action Plan, Cricket Australia celebrated the festival of lights with a special event at the CA headquarters in Melbourne on Thursday, where CEO Nick Hockley joined the festivities with CA staff.

“On behalf of Cricket Australia, I would like to wish everyone a really very happy Diwali. May this festival of lights bring joy, happiness, prosperity, and may you celebrate with loved ones, with family, with friends, with community! Wishing everyone a really Happy Diwali,” Hockley conveyed his greetings to the cricket community.

Meanwhile in the west, the Perth Scorchers celebrated the festival with a Diwali Mela with Alana King and Ashton Agar. The cricket fans at the event also got a glimpse of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup trophy 2023 displayed by Cricket Australia at the event.
