Gnanakatha: Sri Lankan Milk Biscuits Recipe – By Malsha – eLanka

Ingredients:
- 120g all-purpose flour
 - 75g powdered sugar
 - 50g melted butter
 - 50g milk powder
 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
 - 1 egg
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, powdered sugar, and milk powder. Beat until smooth, then add the vanilla extract.
 - Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
 - Sift the flour and baking powder together, then gradually add to the butter mixture to form a soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour as needed.
 - Divide the dough into small portions. Shape each piece into a small ball, then gently flatten, keeping the center slightly thicker.
 - Place the shaped biscuits onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle water on top and dust with sugar.
 - Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
