Honoring The Legend Desmond De Silva” Event on February 11th 2023.
As promised we have spent some months working through tough visa processes for our impressive Frontline in the much awaited “Honouring The Legend Desmond De Silva” Event on February 11th 2023.
The program for the event is in two parts. The first half will be a Tribute style concert to honour the Legend Desmond De Silva. Senior Artistes who have performed with Desmond or shared the stage with him will perform songs from Desmond’s own song list. They will be backed by Desmond’s own band ‘The Impressions’ and will be enhanced by other senior musicians who will join on stage to compliment and enrich the musical backing. The concert will fittingly conclude with a poignant song, performed by all artistes with visual imagery that will pay homage to Desmond.
The second half of the event will be after dinner. It will be music for dancing provided by musicians and senior artistes who will be performing for your dancing pleasure. It’s how Desmond would want you to enjoy the evening and he himself will conclude the evening in Hologram performing his favorites that will have you joining in singing as you did before with him. OUR FRONTLINE WILL REPRESENT DESMOND’S MUSICAL JOURNEY WITH THE
*FIREFLIES, *SPITFIRES, *JETLINERS, *DESMOND & THE CLAN, *FOREIGN AFFAIR,* REPLAY 6, AND OF COURSE *DESMOND & THE IMPRESSIONS.
There are many Artistes & Bands that shared the stage with Desmond across the globe who have expressed their desire to be part of this event and we will endeavor to feature as many as possible into the program. It will be undoubtedly a memorable evening befitting the Legend himself. We know he will be proud of the Team effort that has gone into putting this event together. Enjoy an evening that honors the Legend. Let’s keep his musical legacy alive! His memory forever in our hearts!
