How to Make Potato Chees Balls At Home - By Malsha - eLanka

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • Biscuit crumbs, as needed
  • Vegetable oil or coconut oil, as needed
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a bowl, combine the boiled and mashed potatoes with the chopped onion, garlic powder, pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Form the Balls:
    • Take small portions of the potato mixture and shape them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly, place a small amount of grated cheese in the center, and reshape into a ball, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed.
  3. Coat the Balls:
    • Dip each ball into the beaten eggs, then roll them in the biscuit crumbs until fully coated. Place the coated balls on a tray.
  4. Fry the Balls:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the coated potato balls until they are golden brown on all sides.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the fried balls and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sauce.

Optional Additions:

  • Carrot: For added texture and flavor, mix in 1/2 cup of finely grated carrot with the potato mixture.
  • Batter: If needed, mix some bread flour and salt into the beaten eggs to make a thicker batter before coating the potato balls.

Enjoy your delicious homemade Cheesy Potato Balls!
