Kandalama – The Untold Story

The recently-released book, ‘Kandalama – The Untold Story’ about this award-winning eco-hotel’s saga not only in getting off the ground amidst numerous protests and challenges but also achieving international recognition was presented by its author, Prema Cooray, to well-known business tycoons and hoteliers Harry Jayawardena and Krishan Balendra.
Cooray is the Immediate Past Chairman of Aitken Spence PLC, which built, owns and manages Kandalama Hotel in Dambulla. He has been honoured with the title ‘Legend in Tourism’. The iconic Kandalama Hotel was designed by world renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa.
