Nilushi Pavanya predominantly renowned to be a model, television host more than an actress She prefers to be identified as a professional model as the individual who live informally, who commenced her career as a dance exponent which was not prolonged. She was born on 5th December 1992 in Colombo though a resident of Chilaw. She has three siblings two elder brothers and solitary elder sister apart from the parental duo. Nilushi is intimately connected to her mother who is in the habit of speaking to her daily failing which she is used to messaging. At a television dialog Nilushi had conveyed that she things how to make up her mind in the event of the demise of her mother as the attachment is very rigid. She is awfully scared of her elder brother more than to her father.She had added that when he speaks one hundred words Nilushi speaks only a word or two. Nilushi replies to the tough elder brother through her mother.Elder brother was cussed used to check her mobile and pose questions on messages which was an unpleasant to Nilushi
Owing to her profession she is living in Maharagama for convenience but loves to visit home whenever the opportunity dawns. She loves the flora in her native Chilaw area dwelling as the fresh air emanated from paddy fields comforts her opposite to the hustle and buzzer in the capital having contaminated air not suitable for healthy living Nilushi had even jested to her mother if she can take this surrounding in the vicinity to her dwelling to Colombo she will be elated

Nilushi had attended for her advanced level to Ch/Senanayake National School in Madampe However her wish when young had been to become a sports teacher having triumphed in many sports when young . having participated and triumphed in netball, volleyball and sprint events 100m, 200m a 400 m and high jump in school. Nilushi had not been interested in studies until she was in the tenth standard This view of hers to become a sports teacher had vanquished when she was in the tenth standard when a teacher to teach dancing was appointed to school. After leaving school Nilushi had via her aunt domiciled in Negombo had entered to an international school where she had undergone dancing classes to become a dance teacher. She had gained admission simultaneously to the University of Visual and Performing Arts where she had somewhat of a gruelling four year course at which she graduated with a special diploma in ‘dancing’. It was during her first year she had stepped into the ‘modelling’ arena which was her preferred zone after her triumph in Derana Miss Lanka pageant been selected among the top twelve which to her a huge triumph been a novice.
Many believe that Nilushi has dancing flair in her blood as for any tune her legs automatically fluctuate to coincide with the tempo of the tunes. Nilushi in a television dialog did add that when she watches some television programs related to modelling she used to focus a unparallel attention which she had begun to take intense interest, She had participated in her first beauty pageant in year 2009 when she was still in school doing her Advanced levels sans even permission from her school. After this contest she had become the second runner up. By this time she had received many invitations to portray roles as an actress .But She has acknowledged that she was then a bit backward and shy, In year 2013 she had faced to Miss Ceylinco VIP beauty pageant at which she had been elected to the final. She had participated in Siyatha Miss world having captured the third place but had been adjudicated as winner in mini pageant ,the best smile, figure cum fitness. Nilushi had been the first runner up at Miss Grand Sri Lanka Then had been adjudicated as the runner-up at Facia Miss World Sri Lanka where she had won titles for Fadna Body Beautiful and Miss Sports and Fitness. Although she had not won a single Title in many pageants she had participated nevertheless in year 2017 she had boldly travelled abroad to India to walk the ramp at India Glam Fashion Week( IGFW) which was another feather to her already decorated cap when she was adjudicated as the ‘best talent’. Nilushi had participated in another pageant in Korea to be categorised in the top fifteen. These triumphs had boosted her confidence to pursue her career in modelling. Internationally a modeller is. recognized to tall heights unlike in Sri Lanka where the acknowledgment is at a low decline .Nilushi explained at a television dialog that in Sri Lanka the organisers need a product like ‘sunglasses’, a dress, ‘ hand bag’ to be highlighted more than the appearance of the models. Nilushi in this scenario had said she does not at times to disclose she is a ‘model’. She also blames some models who enter the profession with other desires who ruins the industry.

In year 2021 Nilushi had attended the First International Airport Runaway Red Carpet organised jointly by William Xavier founder of IFW Goa and Sanjaya Kanan founder of Nrithyaa Fashion Entertainments at the Colombo International Airport. At this pageant Nilushi was identified by the First Lady and many prominent personalities in the film and teledrama fields which was a boost to her proposed acting career..
Nilushi Pawanya has had no intentions to become the actress. When she had been an adjudicator at a pageant actress Sanoja Bibile had seen her and made the suggestion for her to act.But she had given only a thought as she was in the final year in the University. She had not acted in many teledramas and films though she had received many invitations as she concentrates more on her Modelling career which has flourished to tall statures. Nilushi was initially cast in Tharanga Dissanayake’s ‘Husmak Tharamata” in year 2019-2020 as ‘Sharmi Teacher’, a character to be emulated by all teachers This role when portrayed Nilushi remembers her enjoyable school days reminisced her teachers Seetha Miss Nilanthi Miss, Suranga Miss and Sugath Sir. Then portrayed a role also in the television series ‘Heily’ in 2019 -2020 directed by Danushka Rathnayake as ‘Dilshi’.Nilushi also prominently starred as ‘Windy’ a running challenging aggressive character in mega teledrama ‘Divithura’ telecast daily on week days in Hiru TV for three continuous years from 23rd April to very recently directed by Charmara Jayaweera created by Kaushalya Pathirana Nilushi was cast in her first film titled ‘ Nilu Man Adarei’ directed by Gayan Mahagallage.She has been cast in more films and teledramas awaiting release which the audiences could view shortly.
At another television confrontation Nilushi had spoken about her love life. She has had a serious relationship while in school lasting for two years which had transformed her life. She had given him many chances. However, Nilushi has disclosed that the boy friend though not that handsome had possessed unique qualities w hich most young boy friends do not possess. Nilushi’s elder brother had been against her love affair later for her acting too which she attributes to the love he has had to her as the younger sister. Currently she is single has divulged that a boy friend who decides to marry should possess the qualities of any father to give her complete protection. Nilushi does not believe.in living together concept before marriage is not essential as the qualities of the fiancé’ could be found by associating. Nilushi does not approve addiction to drinks for females, she also does not like her partner to be taking drinks. Nilushi recollected an issue she had undergone after a serious incident which she had kept to herself which had resulted almost in a depression state which she had not discussed and conveyed to her best friend Premila and home folks for which she still regrets ,which she revealed at a television dialog. Nilushi possess a very kind heart never likes to hurt anyone but she hates injustice. She when loses temper has said does not know what she does like dashing whatever in the vicinity and been terribly buoyant,
Nilushi Pavanya could sing well too. At regilar intervals she had participated in many chat programs in many television channels where she had proved her singing expertise. Nilushi had participated in many popular music programs excelling with her dancing exploits. One television program she hosted was ‘Club Friday Night ’ in the Swarnavahini channel She owns a ‘You Tube’ channel which is patronised by many subscribers is increasing daily. She is a very simple and friendly in her behaviour outside her profession.Nilushi in the above context is contented and comfortable in her professions ,all her fans locally and internationally will no doubt wish for all her future endeavours.
