What are the qualities behind the success of famous vocalists? Prathiba Prabha Perera is one who would certainly thrive in this industry for her innate skill, her dedication and passion. Though Prabha had been singing over a decade her path is slow not at all in haste. Many commence music as a passion but to transform passion into a career is a path of a struggle which Prathiba Prabha is achieving with complete dedication and hard work which is the way to stardom and to be fruitful. The foremost characteristics needed to be successful are confidence, practice, modesty, perseverance, not giving up which are all possessed by Prathiba.

She is the eldest daughter of illustrious poetess and lyricist Yamuna Malini Perera and her late father Senaka Perera who was an actor by profession.Prabha of course may have inherited through hereditary affiliations on her ability as a lyricist but her amazing vocal talent may have been owing to innate flair and passion.She is graduate from the University of Kelaniya and is a teacher in a reputed International school in the city.It is learnt that apart from her teaching the children it is Prabha who subsidise for art activities of the international school.

Prabha possesses a very caring heart who is highly sensitive and emotional. Unlike most individuals she feels for the destitute. She had affirmed that she feels to her heart the mental agony many impoverished people undergo. She had confessed that it is the weakness in a person who becomes over sensitive, over thinking and viewpoint .Prabha had confessed that not all people in the planet are the same as they are genetically diverse having varied physical, mental disorders within them.In this scenario one has to meet miscellaneous, toxic people ,to fine-tune to live with them.Prabha had affirmed that her feelings do not suit many as she is annoying to many. She had lamented that over sensitive, emotional personnel are not a concern to society nut only they self-hurt themselves. The thinking of Prabha is different perhaps she is meticulous in most instances.In a recent television discussion she lamented on certain marriage proposals that had appeared in our newspapers,one parent had wanted a bridegroom for her daughter to be her chauffer and another instance had wanted a bridegroom who owned a car as the proposed bride owned a house. Prabha had pertinently quipped that marriage is different where the groom and the bride should have to some extent same ideas and plan the future life which should take pride of place instead of material wealth.Prabha had confessed that she is able to express her feelings not by word of mouth but in writing stating that when she needs to explain something to convince her mother she would write her views on a piece of paper for her mother to read.

Most of the songs which Prabha had composed or composed and sung herself and in duets had been in music videos under music.lk labels and hirutv.lk. There are many songs for which Prabha had written lyrics.One that comes to mind instantly is the song titled :Sihinayaka Galee” sung by Chandana Liyanarachchi to the melody of Darshana Wickramatunga .She compiled the lyrics for her own video song “Mage Adare” to the music composition of Pawan de Silva in year 2013.The song she sang titiled “Jeevana Geethaya” the lyrics were by Yamuna Malini while the music composition was by Anuk Dilshan,.It should be commended in her offering music to amateur talent for them to be recognised.The re make of the duet song “sihinayata Tharam”

In year 2012 with Kasun Kalhara was a hit song released with an attractive video mix of Prasanga Pathirana to the lyrics of Yamuna Malini Perera. The song “Elanga Wassanai” was a duet with sung by Prabha to her own lyrics with Theekshana Anuradha. The duet of “Unmada Senehe” was sung with shehan Kaushalya Wickremasinghe to the latter’s music composition to the lyrics of Hasith Gunasekera.

From the a foregoing it is proved as confessed by Prathiba Prabha that her journey in the music arena is at snails space with no absolute hurry as music though her passion she has to shoulder more responsibilities in discharging duties at the International school where she is loaded with work of arts in addition to her teaching assingnments.All her fans and followers would wish her the very best to her journey to stardom.
