Prime Minister’s XI squad named to face England XI

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel have named the squad for the upcoming Prime Minister’s XI match against an England XI at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
The two-day, day-night fixture, to be played on Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November, will feature a blend of Australia’s most exciting emerging talent and experienced first-class performers, providing an opportunity for players to gain valuable experience against international opposition.
The squad includes exciting young prospects Oliver Peake and Hugh Weibgen, who have impressed across youth and domestic pathways. It also presents a valuable opportunity for players with international experience such as Sam Konstas and Peter Siddle.
The squad will be captained by Peter Handscomb, providing valuable leadership experience in an international environment.
In keeping with tradition, the squad also features a strong connection to ACT cricket, continuing the legacy of local representation in this iconic fixture.
Former Men’s Australian Test Captain, Tim Paine will again coach the squad alongside Adam Griffith (national pace bowling coach), Jonathon Dean (Cricket ACT) and Mike Smith (Cricket Tasmania).
