Rest in peace Pope Francis

For the full set of photos, please visit eLanka Facebook page

He was a Pope that devoted his life to the underprivileged, the refugees, and those battling the inhuman aspects of life.

The billions that viewed the last moments of this wonderful human being bore testament to his connection and respect from the world.

A man of the people who was all inclusive in all aspects of life including the non believers of Christianity. He turned the tide of non believers, mainly among the younger generation, to realise the importance of spiritual direction.

He braved the uncertainty, and bridged the gap of religion with visits to many troubled countries such as South America, including Mexico, he went to volatile Iraq, and toured predominantly Buddhist Sri Lanka, among four Asian countries he visited.

No Pope in living history touched the hearts of people in all walks of life like he did with his selflessness and simplicity until his last breath..

He must seriously qualify to be in the next order of sainthood.

Braving his fragile physical state, he gave thousands the opportunity of his final blessing on Easter Sunday at St. Peters Basicilla in Rome

God bless him in his new life of eternity in the Heavenly kingdom, and may his mission to achieve world peace, love and empathy among all peoples of the world have greater clout in his new dwelling.
