The Sri Lankan Study Centre for the Advancement of Technology and Social Welfare (SCATS) Australia celebrated its 30th anniversary with a multicultural concert, with the participation of Indian, Vietnamese, Nepalese and African communities, with an awards ceremony held on October 30 at the Bowery Theatre in St Albans in Melbounre.

A special award was presented to Gamini Perera, OAM Founder President of SCATS Australia, by Steve Mc Ghie, Cabinet Secretary and representative of the Premier of Victoria. SCATS President Dr. Hemantha Rohitha, Senior Advisor Prof. Priyan Mendis, Wasantha Perera Senior Vice President Hemamali Perera, Subadra Rohitha and SCATS Secretary Himalee Karunasena were also present.
