Course description: 

This fee-free, fast-track TAFE Statement in Education and Employment  Pathways course CSO5555 is offered to skilled and overseas qualified  professionals to prepare them for the Australian job market. 

Course outcomes include: 

▪ A greater awareness of the Australian workplace culture and trends ▪ A career portfolio, resume and cover letter 

▪ Strategies to identify relevant employment opportunities ▪ Communication skills 

Course topics: 

▪ Australian workplace culture 

▪ Formal and informal communication for work 

▪ Skills for telephoning in job seeking contexts 

▪ Written language skills for job seeking including resume development and  cover letters 

▪ Written language skills for public and private sector applications ▪ Techniques for job interviews 

▪ Join an Internship for relevant work experience 

▪ Hear from various guest speakers 

Nationally Recognised Training

This training program is  government subsidised

LOCATION  

Online virtual classes via MS Teams at  TAFE Digital 

Classes start on 15 October 2024 DURATION  

Course option 1 

2 days a week for 8 weeks 

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 

Classes from 9:30 am to 3:00pm Course option 2 

Evening classes on Wednesdays and  Thursdays for 9 weeks 

Classes from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Information session (virtual):  

11.30am – 12.30pm 

Tuesday 8 October 2024 

STUDY COMMITMENT: 

Attendance of all virtual classes required  for course completion. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 

▪ Permanent Resident status 

▪ Skilled migrant visa and most  temporary visas 

▪ IELTS 5.5 or equivalent 

▪ Overseas professional qualifications  (English translated and certified for  validation)
