Ms Pinder, also Australia’s Miss Universe winner in 1978, was named a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia in recognition of her strong work ethic and dedication to helping others through charitable work. It’s an honour Ms Pinder said that had been “completely unexpected” but one that made her feel “so proud and humbled”.
