It is an appreciation and an honouring of the contributions and achievements of older adults around the world. It is also a recognition of the importance of Seniors in society. Many charitable organisations depend heavily on the hours of voluntary work undertaken by Seniors. As the global community continues to age, it is critical to acknowledge the value and wisdom that older adults bring to the society.
