This is about the Thorombel Man that we  remember as children growing up in the 60’s .  he Thorombel Man.
 “ Phew phew”, sighs the Thorombel man On a hot afternoon

As he puts down his tin box On the floor in our veranda at home. Through the glass panels of his faded box
I see colored strands of thread Looking like schools of fish In the glassy waters of the sea. Sunset orange, mangosteen maroon, chili red, lizard green…..

Threads of cotton and silken sheen Mother buys camphor balls, needles, and safety pins Thorombel man with his jagged teeth Looks at me and grins.
