Translated health resources for refugee communities

The NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) has translated 5 resources into 21 languages spoken by refugee communities as part of the Translated Resources for Refugee Communities project. The resources provide practical information on maternal and mental health.

The resources are available in: Arabic, Armenian, Assyrian, Burmese, Chaldean, Dari, Dinka, Farsi, Hazaragi, Karen, Kurmanji, Nepali, Pashto, Rohingya, Russian, Somali, Swahili, Tamil, Tibetan, Ukrainian and Urdu.

The Project aims to increase health literacy of people from refugee, refugee-like and asylum seeker backgrounds across New South Wales. It is being led by MHCS with partners NSW Refugee Health Service (RHS) and Settlement Services International (SSI) and is funded by the Ministry of Health through the Refugee Health Flexible Funding Pool.

All resources translated through the project can be found on the MHCS website Translated health resources for refugee communities publications page.

Please share these resources with your networks and colleagues, and on online publications.
