“From Barnaby to Back-Benches” by Des Kelly

Barnaby Joyce, 17th Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, will be stepping down from the 2nd most important job in Oz., on Monday 26th February, 2018, and will be joining a Former Prime Minister in Tony Abbott,on the back-benches

of Parliament House. Two good friends who will probably sit there together (I hope), & reminisce about past good times, talking & laughing about everything other than politics. Nothing new about this, but “politics” is a dirty back-biting game. I wouldn’t be a politician for quids, but then, I don’t think they would accept me in Canberra, for two reasons. Reason one, was a “comment” that I should stick to writing about music, because I know nothing about politics, (what’s new)? and reason two is because I now cannot even step outside my Unit due to a spinal problem, so how could I go all the way to Canberra ?.

As everyone knows, Barnaby was the leader of the National Party, who, in coalition  with the Liberal Party,

is, at the moment the Government of Australia. Our present Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull is also, at the moment, in America, for a one on one interview with the President, Donald Trump, trying to figure out what to do with Kim,

(kaata kiyandathe bung)?, and should be extremely relieved with Barnaby’s latest move simply because, due to everything that has been going on back home (in Oz.), his Government might have, as a body, gone to the benches on the “Opposition-side” @ the next election, leaving a guy named Bill, to run the show. Now, that Barnaby has resigned, Malc. will be back to turn the bull around and, perhaps “shorten” the reins and lead the Country for another few years, until the election in 2022 or should that be 2023?. Many Aussies prefer to have their votes counted every 4 years, rather than the 3, they have at the moment.

I have never been able to understand, however, why the great Country of China does not boast the letter (or sound) “L” in their alphabet. They don’t have Prime Ministers there, I believe, but they do have their Presidential “erections” every 5 years (half their luck).

Stop digressing Des, & get back to this bloody editorial.

I am certainly not going into the details of this latest resignation. My point on the whole matter is simply this.

Barnaby Joyce was a good “Politician” He served the National Party well, Country, born & bred, he did whatever he could to help the people of “the bush”, was another Paul Hogan, in his attitude, typical larrikin, lived the Country life, married another wonderful “Sheila”, had children, played sports, joined the “bushies” for barbeques & beer, but then, a big mistake, he went over to Canberra to become the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia (for just a short time)

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again. ANYBODY’S Private life should be JUST THAT.  Whether it be Barnaby Joyce, or the other Joyce, C.E.O.of Qantas, who is sooo little, they should never combine HIS interviews with someone who, in real life, is about 6 foot 12 inches tall.  (I looked & looked but I could hardly see Mr.Joyc until they focussed the camera directly on him), yes, Everyone’s private life should be private. It was for this one & only  reason that Barnaby Joyce will now be joining Tony Abbott,  & Prime Minister Turnbull can come back from America to  “carry on” in peace.

No-one is perfect. If anyone was, they deserve a “Halo” & be addressed as “Saint” whoever. Barnaby was a good “Pollie”

but, St.Barnaby, just doesn’t sound right, does it ?

“From Barnaby to back-benches, get back to the trenches”
