ECOLOGICAL DEVASTATION – By Noor Rahim

NOOR R. RAHIM

ECOLOGICAL DEVASTATION. - eLanka

Buzz! Buzz!! Buff!!! Went the chainsaw

Chop! Chop!! Chop!!! Went the axe-man

Gasp! Gasp!!Gasp!!! Went the citizens

Watching the killing of Mother Nature, in anger & sorrow

A mighty oak tree is what they saw

Felled by a machine and lumber-jack

Crash! Crash!! Crash!!! Came the mighty shock

All and sundry did watch the dastardly show

The question was under whose authority or law

Blah! Blah!! Blah!!! Went the Authority

Don’t worry, we will re-plant aplenty

With small saplings and any other seed we can sow

What idiocracy do the authorities bestow

By their senile permission to fell the mighty Oak

That stood sentinel for many years, for mankind’s sake

One can only ask oneself how long will it take to restore

Dream! Dream!! Dream!!! And just take a bow

For you will not be around when this happens

But you can surely see the damage done

“Man will kill Nature & Nature will kill Man” – a saying & how?
