Lorenz was the most gifted Sportsman at College during our generation. He was so gifted that sports came naturally to him. He captained Royal in Cricket, Rugby and Tennis and also was a coloursman in Athletics. Simple to the core with absolutely no arrogance, he is a worthy son of the late Professor EOE Pereira the father of the Engineering Faculty at Peradeniya University who is universally known for his educational skills and on whose shoulders greatness sat lightly
I am indeed grateful for my long and uninterrupted friendship with Lorenz the humblest of human beings acquired and inherited without any doubt from his distinguished father who during his professorship guided so many young engineering students to become Engineers of distinction. I thank you once more Lorenz for your friendship.
Needless to say Lorenz is a loyal and distinguished Royalist who even now from Australia helps less fortunate young Royalists to acquire a knowledge of English. That is his loyalty to the school which made him such an outstanding gentleman respected by everyone who came across him.
