The tsunami accident occurred on December 26, 2004 due to the earthquake that occurred in Sumatra Island. By 2022 it will be 18 years before that happens. Due to this tsunami, many people in the coastal areas of Sri Lanka suffered and lost their lives. The death toll is over 30,000.
