Manu Ranga Dancing Concert-eLanka

On the 4th of December Manuki Ranga Dancing School brought Manu Ranga to stage. Manu Ranga was our first concert as a class and commemorates our 10th anniversary as one of Sydney’s traditional Sri Lankan dancing schools. We were so incredibly lucky that whilst this was our first concert as such, that it was completely sold out.

Manu Ranga was a result and product of over 6 months’ work of hard work, preparation and care from our students, parents, committee and most importantly our teacher Ishara. On the night we performed over 20 items as a school and were able to bring to the stage a diverse range of acts which showcased all forms and styles of dance in Sri Lanka.

It was a wonderful night where the Sri Lankan diaspora in Sydney was able to come together but we were also able to bring together other communities and share our rich cultural heritage. We received many wonderful comments on the night stating how captivating, engaging and unique our concert was.

This is a testament to our class and Ishara for all the work which was out behind this endeavour. It is also motivating for our class as it encourages us to continue being a vessel through which we are able to express our passion and share our culture not only within our community but also with the wider Australian community!

We would like to also extend our gratitude to everyone who supported us, bought tickets and came to watch our show. Without the endless support the show would not have been the success it was. We hope to see you at our next concert or community event!

If you would be interested in having us at your next event or would like to join our class please contact Ishara Amarasinghe on: 0411 981 549. You can also contact us via Instagram and Facebook.

RoyGrafix had the privilege to capture the event artistically.
