Poking fun with amusing names and with crafty silence their Manthrams they spewed
In all good time the Captors learnt the power of silence is fiercer than the Gun
The Captured with bowed head and indigenous wisdom bided time to win in Fun
Won they did-Called it Independence but-still struggling to find Feet
Have come to the Jubilee Diamond bringing country to depths of ‘Bankruptcee’
A visitor once said-all things Pleaseth in this country-only man is Vile
Vileness reached peak in notorious Black July Eighty-Three-Time standing Still-a while
The cream of the witty and the jolly-in face of Vileness left shores
Hoping to get back when frogs ceased croaking-and with smiley faces we rid all woes
Let’s bury the woes as things go on, we hope
Yes, bury that blooming hatchet-we all know what-and march on to the fore
Yes, enough blood we shed-now let us shed our sweat
To get the country back the granary of the East not West
No more shedding tears
Over bodies of our brothers- maimed and killed for power and greed
All this done for an Opinion printed on a piece of paper called History
An opinion being- a view held as probable-at times leading to a Myth or Mystery
Such as Kuweny and the lion!
Can a Human Soul be so purloined!!
Can this latent eruption from the depths of our Motherland
Wake us all-including the Croaking Frogs from Slumberland
Get us to a Vast Ocean away from the crooked Old Well
And bring on for us those Harmonious Smiles and Hearts to Swell
