ජීවිතයේ සිත පිරිසිදු සිත,
ජීවිතයේ අර්ථයෙන් ඉවත්වනු මත.
උදාහරණයේ මානසික ප්‍රකාශ,
සිංහලෙන් අදත් ලියන්න මත.
ජීවිතයේ තුල සිටින ඉන්දියාව,
සෑම අවුරුදු සිටිය සිතුවේ මාවිත.
විපත්තිය ප්‍රමාණවත් සිත,
ජීවිත අත්දැකීම සමගින් සැකිලි සිත.
අභිරහස් වරුන් සමඟ මා විවිලුවේ,
ප්‍රතිපාදනවී නොගන්න මාවිත.
අගුණු සිරුම් සහෝදරයේ සිත,
ආකාරයේ සිරුම් පිරිසිදු සිත.
මාගේ ජීවිතය විපත්ති,
පිරික්සුම් විදිය පිහිටුවේ මාවිත.
අත්වැල්ලුවේ මා සිත,
ජීවිත අර්ථයෙන් ඉවත්වනු මත.
English translation:
On the meaning of life
In the depths of life,
a searching soul, amidst the mysteries,
it seeks its goal.
With the rhythm of destiny’s call,
I pen this in Singhalese, after all.
Within life’s circle, I wander on,
every moment, my heart’s journey is drawn.
Embracing knowledge with open mind,
understanding life’s flow, intertwined.
With the universe, I find my connection,
in nature’s dance, my soul’s reflection.
Through joy and sorrow, love’s sweet embrace,
I seek the meaning, in every place.
Life’s journey, a boundless quest,
discovering purpose, I do my best.
In the echoes of time, my heart’s plea,
to understand life’s true decree.
The essence of my life, profound,
unveiling wisdom, I’m spellbound.
In this existence, my soul abides,
amidst the mysteries, it coincides.
